- • Customers retain ownership of their data and outputs
- • API data may be temporarily retained (up to 30 days) solely for security and abuse prevention, then deleted
- • Data is encrypted and handled in line with GDPR and enterprise security standards
- OpenAI acts as a data processor, not a controller. Customers control what data is shared and should avoid submitting unnecessary personal or sensitive information.
Data security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data. Data is stored securely and is not transferred outside the UK or EEA unless adequate safeguards are in place.
